Each race is separated by a red washer. Grab a can of shaving cream and reassemble it. Use the cream to hold the balls in place and when it is put back together rinse it out with fresh water. Replacing worn out springs: If your cam cleat is staying in the open position and is not closing forcefully you need to replace the cam cleat spring. Carefully remove the bolt from the bottom of the cleat and pry the base off of the cleat. This will expose the worn spring. Simply remove the old spring, insert the new spring and replace the base. Be careful not to remove the cam from the base because this will release the ball bearings. |
